At Fylde Saddlery, we offer our customers a large selection of equestrian products, and in this category, you will find our range of horse numnahs. These products are designed to be placed under the saddle of a horse as a kind of blanket. This padding is often made of sheepskin, ensuring a soft and fluffy feel for your horse.

Here at Fylde Saddlery, we offer a choice of seven different types of numnahs for sale. These include numnahs made from lambskin, cotton, and fleece. We also offer numnahs for a range of different purposes, including those used as ride on covers, anti-slip pads, impact numnahs and comfort numnahs.

Unlike a simple saddle cloth, a numnah follows the shape of the saddle, usually slightly larger, so you can see it underneath. A numnah is usually used for two main reasons, which are to protect a valuable saddle from dirt and sweat, as well as to protect your horse’s back. They are able to soak up sweat and avoid it damaging the saddle, and they avoid the saddle from rubbing against the horse and producing pressure sores on the horse’s back. Shock absorbent numnahs can also help the ride to be more comfortable for you as well as the horse.
